KZ750F Version Keihin CV34's was created by Nessism
I've got a set of these carbs inbound and I'm looking for feedback from anyone that has used them.  This version of Keihin CV34 doesn't have the two stage main jet system as used on the earlier H and E bikes; it's one main and one pilot, like Mikuni BS carbs.  Are they a dumbed down version carb, or did Keihin simply realize that their earlier design features (two stage main) was unnecessary?  I wasn't necessarily looking for these but I got them for a fair price and they look relatively unmolested so I pulled the trigger.

I've got CVK32 carbs on my kz650, following Pablo's tutorial.
He used an O2 sensor to get the jetting spot on, using the factory air box.
1985 ZX600 A to '89 C model use Keihin CVK 32.
As did 2000-2005 ZR7 7 ZR7s.

The sound and feel of the throttle is different.
No more ride by wire from the stock VM24SS slide carbs.
Now with the CVK32s, she has a bit of a power band like a two stroke.

Those carbs look nice.  If you remember your jetting please post it up.  It's getting hard to find decent sets of the old CV34's, so moving to these newer carbs might be the hot ticket for guys that need a set.

Here's a quote from Pablo's post on the kz650info site.
I used the same jetting he did: 45 pilots and 112 mains.
He used the later ZR7 CVK32s:

"I started with the standard jetting of the ZR7S but that proved to be way off of what the 650 needed. Standard jetting of the 7 is -as per kawasaki specs- 35 pilots and 108 mains. My bike is running with a perfect AFR with 45 pilots and 112 mains."

His ZR7 carbs had/have the inner two carbs needles different than the outer two carbs needles, stock.
The ZX600 carbs I used had/has the same needle (N52T) in all four carbs.
The ZX carbs don't have the throttle sensor on the right side that the ZX7 carbs do.

Jets were bought here:

ZR7 manifolds and carb to air box ducts were used to mount on a KZ650, for both the ZX600 & ZR7 carbs.

A stock air box was used, enlarging the holes to accept the ZR7 ducts:

The choke normally works with a cable for these carbs, but a little pull is easily added:

Finished the carbs.  These carbs were much easier to restore than most other sets I've done.  A really good clean job followed by replacing the soft parts like O-rings and float valve needles and they are ready to go.

The simplified jetting setup is going to be a plus too, I think.  Just like a set of Mikuni CV carbs.  Less prone to plug up.

Anyway, I've listed these carbs on ebay but if anyone is interested I'll give a forum discount.  PM me for details.

I just saw those come up on my eBay account! Definitely a very clean set for a very pretty penny!

Sold in 24 hours.  I would have rather sold them here as opposed to eBay though.

Are the standard (2 main jet) CV34s just as desirable? Might be able to locate an extra set I have lying around if that’s the case.

In my experience, yes.  I've rebuilt a handful of sets and they always sell easily.  If yours are in decent rebuildable shape, and you don't want to get your hands dirty and spend a bunch of time chasing parts, shoot me a PM with a price for the cores.
