Got the first carb dipped.....questions....

So I got the first carburetor dipped....before and after pics below.   

Questions I have:

Which gaskets and o-rings need to be replaced and where do I get them?

Should the floats be replaced?

Looking for next steps on this carburetor,  then do them one by one.

You can soak the brass (jets) and the float. You need to anchor down the floats to keep them submerged. You need to replace all ORings and Gaskets, Nessism might know the ORing sizes. The last set like your (28mm pumper) I rebuilt we’re missing all of the brass when I purchased them. So it was cheapest for me to buy keyster kits.

Definitely replace all of the orings and gaskets. Generally, the brass parts are fine, but carefully inspect the float needle and the needle jet / jet needle pair, as they can get worn. The magnifier on you cell phone camera can be a real help with this.
Floats rarely need replacing. Shake each on and listen carefully for liquid inside. If you hear none, carefully submerge it in carb cleaner and watch carefully for tiny bubbles coming out of it. If he sloshing is heard and no bubbles are seen, the float is probably fine.

It would be helpful if you would put the exact year and model of your KZ in the signature line. That way it will appear in everyone of your posts, making it easier for folks to provide specific information.

I have a 1979 KZ1000 LTD and a 1982 KZ1000 LTD.  These carbs are from the 1979.  I'll add them both though.....good suggestion.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationSoak the floats in carb spray, or fuel injection cleaner.  Don't soak them in carb dip because it's too harsh.  The floats themselves are made of a foam like material.

Regarding O-rings, these would be a good start...

Thanks, I'll check the ebay item.  Too late on not soaking the float in carb dip - it was already done by the time I read your post.  They seem to have come out just fine, and clean.  These floats feel like solid material, not hollow.  Thanks again....going to check out that ebay item....

I just ordered the o-rings from the ebay link.  Two questions....where do I get the necessary gaskets?   And....how do I block off that problematic triangular circuit that the VM26 carbs have?
