Fed up with my motion-pro sync gage was created by ckahleer
I want to replace my Motion-Pro fluid gage with something I don't have to worry about sucking fluid out if the vacuum gets to high.
I only use it a couple times a year, so don't want something too pricey. I have heard bad reviews on the $35 e-bay gages.
I can get a Morgan Carbtune for around $135 or maybe this dial gage. Any recommendations on what to or not to get would be appreciated.
Thanks

I sync carbs with my Boehm sync gauge (Made in Germany) for more than 25 years. Stay away from cheap china knock off clocks.
Look at the clock hands and you will see the difference in precisin....

Below is a picture of what I use; they work great!  They look very much like the ones in your posting.  Previously I had a set of cheap gauges and they were crap!  Ed

I have both the Morgan Carb Tune and the gages that Scirocco mentioned.  They each work well, but the Boehm gages are super accurate.  I had to go in a round about way to purchase them as the retailer didn't want to sell in the USA, so I bought them from a place in England.  Just make sure to follow the directions with the gages or risk damaging them.  I use the Carb Tune as a backup to verify the readings I get with the gages.  Cheap gages get you nothing but frustration in an important area.

The set I have doesn't have a brand name on it, but it looks exactly like these:

I have a set of the 4 cheap blue gauges, and they sort of work.

If I were to get a better tool, I'd probably get the digi sync.

thedigisync.com/

They claim it's self calibrating, which I'm guessing is really just self-zeroing at turn on.

They also say it reports the peak instead of the average, which maybe makes the measurement a bit more accurate?

Follow up.
I just ordered the Morgan Carbtune. I could have got a decent Dial gage unit for $100, but the Carbtune for $131 is more compact and looks more rugged.
The digi-sync was more than I wanted to spend, and with a digital read out, you can't read at a glance. Also requires batteries or power adapter.
