I am converting my GS1000 VM29s to Sudco Z-1, KZ900 & KZ1000 specifications. First question, did Mikuni/Sudco specify the float height measurement or was it always FSM float height specification? I have used the GS1000 FSM VM26 spec of 23- 25 mm for decades with no issue. Please clarify whether a Mikuni VM29 float height measurement exists or if I should adjust the float height to a KZ1000 FSM float height spec. This is the measurement taken with the carbs inverted and measured with a digital caliper from the carb body to the top of the float.

I know the fuel level measurement is more accurate. I cannot run this set of VM29 with my current GS1100 cylinder head which also explains the conversion.
