Hello all,

Just a question if i can :
When you want synchro manually your carbs do you totally unscrew the idle screw before check the 7mm space with a wire?

I have a vm26 on kz1000 ldt 78

Thank you

Let the idle screw untoched during the sync. You can lower the idle during the sync procedere or later if needed.
The goal of the sync is an evenly vaccum readings on all 4 carbs @ idle rev. 900- 1000 rpm.

Yes but actually i have to manually sync them with the 0.7 mm wire.
Do i have to screw my idle screw ( of 1/4 turn for example) before set each carb at 0.7 ?

To manually "bench sync" the carbs you simply need all the slides set at the same height.
Pull the carb tops. wind up the idle screw to hold the slides open slightly and adjust them all to the same gap to the venturi floor.
Once on the bike they will still need vac balancing to ensure equal work from each cylinder.
Equal slide height does not mean correct carb balance.

Yes To manually "bench sync" the carbs i need all the slides set at the same height.
But is the idle screw a little bit screwed or not at all before doing this?

On kz1000 AA manual they say to unscrew it until she just touch and then turn 1/4 more.
But if i do this then i can't set the carbs at 0.7 mm. I need to screw a little bit the idle screw...

manual says to adjust the idle adjusting screw so you have 1.6 to 2.0 mm betwix them.
