TK Carb accel problems. was created by Inspidship
I recently pulled the old girl out of storage, needed a winter project. Got a rebuild kit for the carbs, I did it wrong last time, anyways, put in a new set of pilot valves and seats, along with new jets. Problem that made me do this - When heavy on throttle off idle, or when leaving from a stop when riding, the bike trips and stubbles and then gets up and goes like normal. The problem persists. This was with no airbox, and still happened with my pod filters. Any input is appreciated!

I'm not super experienced with carbs (coming up on my first full year) but it sounds like you might be running lean - more throttle, more air, takes a moment to catch up. Is this at all RPM specific?

If the jetting stock? If so, the bike won't run right if using pods. You need bigger jets. I'm not sure how big, several sizes on the main and maybe one step the pilot too. Raise the needle as well. It's trial and error to some extent. Good luck with all that.
