Tank is in the body shop finally getting sprayed. I forgot I wanted to order a new petcock for it. What size adapter do I need for a pingle petcock bolt to bolt dimension? Also I can not recall if our fuel lines are 5/16 or 1/4 lol. Please and thank you did a quick search but came up empty handed.

I took Ed’s advice and extremely happy with the outcome. I added a dry break quick disconnect to add in tank removal. I used all 5/16 fittings.

Where'd you find the disconnect Mikaw? I need to remove the tank to re-torque my valve cover, and just keep procrastinating because pulling the fuel lines is such a pain.

Kaylinator at work. I’ll look it later and get back. I know I posted it in another thread. I’ll find it and as our new press secretary says “circle back on that one”

Been using the 5/16 line and clamps Ed uses also .... pretty much from the start and never had a problem. Golan for 4-5 or so years too I think it is now.

70s KZ650s usually have a 44mm bolt-hole spacing. I'm assuming your tank doesn't have a threaded bung for the fuel valve.
With the Pingel adapter plate you may have to ream the tank opening a tad to fit the fuel valve but beware of explosion.
Even a small amount of fumes can explode.

Z1Enterprises.com - Pingle Adapter Plate ... Z1Ent also has an offset adapter plate.
