Hi, I was recently gifted with a Moto Meter Synchro-Test model 628.001.1000, its still in the box and in excellent condition, however it is missing instructions on how to use it, it is made in Leonberg, W. Germany, anybody here familiar with this synchroniser.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.

I've seen them before but never used one. You have to remove the airbox and/or air filter pods. Start the engine, set the idle to about 2000 rpm, then hold the foam piece against the back of each carb and note how high the vacuum indicator raises in the clear tube. The cone in the back provides restriction, which in part assures you have enough vacuum to get the vacuum indicator to raise. Think you are supposed to adjust the cone until you get the indicator somewhere up in the middle of the clear tube. Once the cone is set don't touch it again. Move from carb to carb and take note of which ones need adjustment and then go from there.

Good Grief! I may have one of those in the box somewhere in the basement. I will have to look for it and see if the instructions are with it. Bought it about 1970 to work on triple two barrel carbs. Forgot I had it until I saw this.

I've had one since the 70's for syncing dual carbed VW engine. Type 3 motors. Used it on my Honda twin CB engines too.

I don't have a plan and I'm sticken' to it! '77 KZ 650 / 750 GPz custom project in progress
