Got bike like this. Lever seem to be bent a little and locked.
Side L tube comes out by hand

I wonder if this can be rebuilt and what is needed?

You might want to check the OEM Kawasaki parts fishe to see what if any parts are still available. Assuming you can get what you need in regards to soft parts like O-rings and a new diaphragm then you have a decent chance to rebuild it. You will have to take it apart and look for metal erosion on the sealing surfaces too. If all checks out then I'd go for it. I successfully rebuilt the petcock for my 750E and it works perfectly. One thing I caution against is purchasing aftermarket petcock parts like K&L. They have a very poor success rate. You might get lucky mind you and get a kit that actually fits, but it's no guarantee.

It looks like a typical vacuum petcock off a Kawasaki. They are rebuildable. I think Z1E sells kits.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Rebuildable as long as you find the rubber packing and diaphragm. Take your time and do it right otherwise you'll be doing it again. And Nessism is right, try to find the factory parts. The link below refers to Yamahas but the techniques are the same. Heck, Yamaha guys have to be good at petcocks because for some reason Yamaha felt they needed to have two petcocks on the XS650s.

OK! Found rebuild kit. Overall looks salvageable. ONE issue. Or maybe not issue.
Fuel supply L-shaped thingy is loose. It looks like it was press fit? I don't see any o-rings on it. And fuel leaking there.
Is that fixable?

Other than that - rebuild kit available:

It's probably fixable but I've never had that problem.

To clarify, L-shaped fuel outlet can be removed easily by hand. Tight fit but I can take it out. On all part diagrams body is one piece with this outlet, makes me think it was press-fit.

Need to be glued I would think. Any specific glue you might recommend? Or plan old JB weld should work?

Or, let me ask another question. Rebuild kit is $23. Anything out there even if it's up to $50 which will work the same, be quality and without guess work?
I would just install another petcock and not worry about it if there is a chance it won't work correctly.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationWhat is your idea on eBay petcocks. There is plenty for $10 for whole unit. Junk?

I would rebuild any used petcock I bought on eBay. You might as well proceed with the one you have.
