Carb help 76 kz900a4

Hey KZ Riders,

I took the carbs part way apart until I get the right bits (JIS) to remove the rest.

I have 17.5 pilot jets and 115 main jets in it.

I was told the motor has a big bore kit 1080 is there a way to check?

I am looking for recommendations on gasket kits and replacement carb parts I may need a few pieces.

Z1 Enterprises sells most of the various O-rings and gaskets for the carbs. I'd check those out, including possibly replacing those fuel Tee's, and refrain from "carb kits" which you don't need.

Hi HZSean, are you running pods air filters or a stock air box?

From what I find the stock jet size will be 15 pilot and 102.5 mains. So your jet have been replaced. If you running pods you need to get air jet correctors. PM Zed1015.

AS far as a bigger bore kit all I can think about would be a bore scope in the spark plug hole and see if you can read any markings on the top of the piston. That might not be to accurate because older pistons didn't have any markings other than an arrow for front. Someone else might have a better way.

Finding parts are easier if you go to Partzilla and get part numbers and then search.

I have a set of those carbs and really like them. I rebuilt them with Keyster kits. They are the best I've found.

I like Mikaw's recommendation on checking your pistons. They are possibly high compression, which will have inserts in the top for valve clearance. (Regular pistons are smooth on top.) But the only way to really tell is to pull the head and measure them, or measure the cylinder bore.
