Broken Float Post Repair

I have a guy that does all my Vapor Hone the same way. I dont pay till the parts are back and inspect them... Not to many guys like that around anymore.

It's not perfect. This photo shows that the post is leaning a little outboard. I'm going to make a small spacer so the float doesn't move to the right as shown in the photo. If that's the worst thing I'll call it good though.

Tiny little shim in there should do the trick.

Beats the heck out of tossing the carb.

Got the carb and it looks good. The welder dude Jim was awesome. He told me that fixing carbs is "the fun stuff." I highly recommend him. Total cost including shipping both ways was $57.

Did you check into the price of a Chinese carb first?

Looks to be a solid fix for an otherwise unusable carb. Always nice to fix stuff rather than junk it, when possible and or cost effective.
