VM 28mm was created by Zilla
Hello everybody. I have a set of VM 28mm carbs not sure what year or off what bike. I looked on partzilla and used what I thought was the carb diagram for those carbs to order a Keyster kit form Z1 Enterprises mainly for the gaskets and the needle jets. So they came and the needle jets won’t fit my carbs and I believe the ones in my carb said P-4. I was wanting to change them cause there egg shaped. Is there a place I can just get those. Thanks for reading.

The 5437n is listed for the Kz1000 A1 which is the 1977, they came with VM26mm carbs with the fuel pilot screws. not sure that's the right kit. You rebuild a set of VM28mm with the accelerator pumps. You need to get kits for the 1980 Kz1000 B4 or the Z1R D3 5202 I think will work also. Listed as KK that's not a Kester number where did you buy them.

EDIT, Your jet should be stamped with 0-4

Z1, short term memory sorry. did the rest of the parts fit.

I got the kits from z1 enterprises and they say Keyster on the box it’s a red and blue box made in Japan. I’m trying to get the number off one but it’s hard even with a magnifying glass. Lol

It is stamped 0-4. The gaskets fit and the air/fuel mixture screw was the right fit . I didn’t use the jets or the needles .

What is the Z1 stock number. I couldn't find the 5437N listed at Z1. Did the bowl gasket have the hole in it for the pumper check valve?

Is the needle jet the wrong OD to fit in the carb body?
