I am idle screwed!!! was created by markmeinteil
On my '81 kz750 LTD, my Clymer manual does not say what the idle screws need to be set at. All it says is that from factory, they are sealed. Well, the previous owner had the carbs really screwed up! Even one of the float bowl gaskets were missing. So if anyone knows what the setting is on the keihin carbs, please let me know.

Oh, I also want to know which way is leaner/richer.

idle screw's should be set at 1 1/2 to 2 turns out from LIGHTLY seated to start, then with motor runnung turn each one in till that cyclinder misfires then back off till it picks up again, do this for each one one at a time till you get all four fireing correctly. I do belive that in is leaner and out is richer but
I also could be all wet:P

there have been many posts about this you should go to the archives and do a search or there is lots of info under the kz information tab under filebase non vehical specific
