Mikuni RS34 acc. pumps? was created by Z1109R Fin
Hi

Just bought a set of RS34´s. The Q is is it wise to disable the accelerator pump system? Some say it gives better gasmileage but I don´t really care about that. I need extra powerRrRrRr:P Any hints on adjusting the pumps?

And the bike is Z1000R ´83, 1109cc, ported head, open headers...

A not-so-good pic of my bike. Taken in Gotland, Sweden last may. I don´t have any better pics from this version 1.4, sorry. Last winter added APE clutckit, Mocal oilcooler and some paintwork.

my ELR has 1100ccm,Kerker exhaust and 34 mm flatslides like your bike.
It runs perfect with these carbs.
Don`t disconnect the acc.pump,it makes some extra power.

So basicly you have allmost the same set-up as I do. I got a custom made SS 4-1 witk a very open kerker K -canister. What main jet size do you have? I think there ain´t much else to adjust other than air/fuel mix, needle height and main jet. I think I´ll start with needle -3 groove, standard air/fuel 1/4 opened and 120 main jet. That shouldn´t be too much off to start with. What do you think?

Hi Fin
I use the stock airbox with K&N Filter and 115 main jets.
If you don`t use the stock box 120-125 main jets will be
correct.
