I have a 1979 Kz 1000LTD with VM26 carburetor with accelerator pump...They going to need alot of work...And I was going to buy some more..But can i use any other carburetors without the accelerator pump..Or they got to have the accelerator pump...:unsure:

Are you sure they are 26mm carbs?? They probably are 28's.......you can run 26, 28 or 29 carbs.

The VM26 w/pump were the stock carbs on some 79 models. You can use ANY VM24/VM26/VM28/VM29 assembly on your bike. If you use a VM24 from a KZ650, then you will need to use regular radiator clamps rather than the stock clamps which can cinch up tight enough to hold the smaller venturis. One of the main differences between the VM26 pumpers and VM28 pumpers is that the VM26 w/pump uses two diaphragms in the pump assembly where the VM28 uses only one.

I noted previously: "You can use ANY VM24/VM26/VM28/VM29 assembly on your bike."

That means any pump or NON-pump assembly can be used.
