Here's one we will all be encountering sooner or later:

I live in the greater Houston, TX area and ALL gasoline is now 10% ethanol. Can anyone hazard a guess on what this will do to the older KZ's in the long run? I swear that my mileage has decreased on my cage (KIA) since the suppliers all switched to mandated ethanol/gasoline mixtures.

I am not sure about the effects it will have on your bike. However, I used to live in Utah where they use it from Oct-Mar, to help with the inversion.
After years of use and studying the results the EPA determined that it had no effect on the inversion OR the air quality. They still use it though. I hated using the stuff. From Oct-Mar my car always had less power, had fuel problems and got worse gas milage than the rest of the year. I wouldn't use it unless it was the last resort, which it sounds like it might be for you in Houston.

I think my bike actually prefers it.

Looks like you may get a mixed bg of responses.

the only problem I had with it is the ethanol tends to make certain plastics brittle. It made my bike's clear fuel lines hard as a rock and did the same thing to my chainsaws to the point one cracked. I have switched to rubber lines now.
