What size drill bits come with a dynojet kit for a kz550? I have 26mm TK carbs if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

I think you will find that a 1/8" drill bit is used to poke a hole in the mixture screw cap. They also have you drill out the hole in the bottom of the slide for "throttle response" on CV carbs. This is an old Harley tuning trick and is essentially a major waste of time. The 1/8" drill bit cost you a bunch of money so you will probably want to drill something with it so drill out the plugs over the mixture screws. I think they also sold you a very expensive sheet metal screw to pop the plug out with if you bought the kit! bwhahaha

Thanks for the information wiredgeorge. I am not going to buy the dynojet kit, instead I have ordered new main jets, and plan on shimming my needles. After that, all I need is the bit to drill out the plugs over the mixture screws, right? I take it that drilling out the hole on the bottom of the slides is useless?

Very much a waste of time. Some folks claim it gives them better throttle response with CV carbs. I have done it and can't feel any difference in throttle response which is the time it takes for the bike to accelerate after the throttle is turned... Same folks will also stretch the return sprigs that push the slides down and then cut them a bit shorter so the slides will shut faster. That is a waste as well, imho.
