carb id

thanks for your reply.....been doing a lot of reading about these carbs and am learning..i do have one more question about carb size...vm24ss..what is the 24?? i'm thinking its the size of the throat of the carb 24mm..thanks for all the help u have given me..mustache

yes, inner diameter on the engine side, but its actually closer to 26 i think

i sure appreciate u confirming that..i broke out the dial caliper..yes it about 26mm on the engine size but if u go back about an inch in the carb is where u get the true 24mm..that inch space is flaired out..as always thanks for your help..mustache

well i took the carbs back off to do some more checking..i used my dial caliper and measured from the motor side back about an inch to the inside of the carb it measured 22mm..is this correct in where i should have measured??
also i have been saying its a 650b1..did some cleaning on the numbers and its actually a kz650be 083940.whats the difference in a b1 and a BE??
