I just got through boring my 1980 kz 750 to 810cc. I went up twice from the stock pilot jet The Dyno-jet needle is on the 5th notch. The main jet is 140. The bike goes like hell, very fast from start to finish. The issue for me is that it surges or hesitates when I try to cruise, at almost any speed. Give it gas and I'm off. Others have said surging is running lean. Go to the 6th notch?
