I have just finished cleaning and polishing the Carbs off my 76 900 ltd. Boy did they polish up nice. Now that I am putting them back together--do I need any type of lubricant on any of the parts? I am talking about the throttle arm, etc. And where can I get the caskets?

They look great-just hope the still run!!

I just put a bit of Permatex anti-seize on my carb bolt/screw threads. It has made the works easier to take apart later down the road. Particularly those tiny little screws that hold the slides/throttle valves. I had to drill the head of one (that would not budge)until I could pop its (now striped head) off, then take the slide out and take the remaining screw body out from underneath with needle nose pliers. The others were often a bear to take out for the first time also. However, this time, a year later, these little buggers came out smooth as silk because of the little smear of anti-sieze on them.
