Looks like a complex enough linkage without thinking something might be missing. If you go to Kawasaki.com and hit owner info, parts diagrams and look for a 1980 kz250 I think you will find a diagram for the carb. I could'nt find anything under 1983.

It seems like everything is properly in place. If you ever take off that choke pivot plate, be careful as there is a bb / spring under there that wants to jump out and get lost.

Thanks for the heads up on the BB.
I'm taking the carb apart tomorrow for a good cleanup to see if I can get her to start and stay running.

I got it to start but it would die after about a minute.
