is causing fuel to leak out all the time. is this something that can be repaired, or does one have to buy a new float bowl?

I tried using duct tape but it didn't work.

JOKKKINGG!!!!

But seriously any advice would be appreciated.

Outaline (Tony), I've had this problem, I couldn't believe it!
That sounds a good idea of Wireman's, with the thin tube over the cracked tube. Could be heat-shrink if that is impervious to fuel, with a dob of some fuel resistant goo at the bottom. The hair-line runs straight down the brass over-flow tube. I'm not sure if these tubes are one piece through to the nipple outside the float bowl. Good find, it had me beat!

Thats exactly what I did with mine using a wee dab of JB weld to seal it at the bottom.

Thats an easy fix. I simply cleaned the tube inside the float bowl then mixed up some good old JB weld. Smear the JB all over the tube from top to bottom, let sit for 12 house and it's fixed.
Do not use any silicone based sealer gas will eat it up.
