black is totally cool by me.

i've got 8mm studs on the street motor, need some 6mm ones for the turbo motor. could cut them to length for you if you need.

just finishing up winter term for TIG welding. finished up the lab work and all for steel that i was doing, now i am burning up as much aluminum in the last couple classes i can. not doing too badly at it.

yup, east building.

if you go in the back, go down to the crotch of the L in the building, there is a sign that says WELDING LAB. i park out back, and go in that door most of the time.

I use 6x16mm w/1.0 pitch thread socket head stainless and have never stripped a thread. You do know that a torque wrench can be used with a socket head? I buy these by the box of hundred specifically for this purpose.

it's far easier to use a tq wrench on an allen head fastener, than on a phillips head. 8^)

Ok, dumb question? What is the anti-sieze for on the allen heads?

I have alway cursed the phillips and am going to replace my screws over time. I just need to decide black or plated.

anytime you screw or bolt two differant kinds of metals together you get electrolysis or a chemical reaction between the two metals the antiseize acts as an insulator and makes it easier to take back apart later, and helps lube the threads.;) goodluck, happy wrenching!
