For those of you that have added aftermarket fuel filters to your bikes, what brands/models did you use and does it perform well?

I've had really good success with a fuel filter that NAPA carries - no flow problems at all. It is similar in appearance to the one in wiredgeorge's recent Fram fuel filter post, but probably a different manufacturer, like WIX. These ones flow fuel just fine, and you can verify that the flow is adequate by turning the petcock briefly to PRIME with the hose to the carbs disconnected.

I use a Russell 1/4" filter. The bronze element is replaceable or it can be cleaned. Russell makes professional grade fuel components for racing. See:
