They do look interesting. The key would be parts availability - what jets they use, needles, etc.

Good point. I emailed the seller asking about parts availability. Assuming they are available (Malossi is still in business!) I will be buying them for sure.

(Thats what the question in the engine forum was actually about Jeff. :))

Niiiiiice. Are you planning on putting them on a stock engine though? 34mm seems awful big!

Stock 650 with a fresh rebuild.

Squatch...did you place that bid just now? Do I need to pull out the light saber so we can battle? lol

34mm are way to big for the 650. I tried 35 Keihn CR's on my big bore 650 (720cc) with 10.25-1 compression. It also had WEB cams, head porting, 4 into 1 pipe and pods. I was never able to dial the carbs in because they were just big for the bike. After about a year of trouble shooting I installed a set of VM26mm carbs and have been very happy with them.

were I buying i would go to PA and pick up in person just to see what else he has and pick up some jets/needles

Alas, bike budget here won't allow a bid so you guys have no competition from me :-)
