After reading through the manual and searching the forums here I still have a really dumb newby question. When setting the slide heights with a wire or whatever, are you doing it from the front or the back of the carbs?

It's my understanding that you do it from the Back/Air Cleaner side. The 1000 could be different than the 650 though.
Where's are 1000 Carb Gurus?

You set the carbs from the engine side. I have found that the smaller the tool (drill bit,etc)the closer the sync.

Awesome, I used a 1/16" drill bit (smallest thing I had w/ a consistant diameter)
