Fellow Fuelie owners:

I have a 1982 KZ1100B model (GPz1100) and I'm looking for replacement fuel pumps. The Kawasaki part number is 49040-1003. According to Mother Kaw, The 1981 B1, 1982 B2, 1983 (ZX1100A1) and 1984 (ZX1100A2) GPz's all used the same pump. The manufacturer of these pumps was UNISIA JECS [part number A42 312). JECS supplied these fuel pumps supposedly to a number of vehicle makers including Kawaski, Polaris snowmobiles, some Cadillacs and Fords? (and others). I have the correct one for my bike but it came from one of these other vehicles...the part number on the unit is 158-62211-10. I am aware of another JECS unit with the part number of 9580-810-026. Can anyone identify what maker(s) these parts numbers belong to? I don't think it is Polaris or Cadillac.

Some of the turbo owners on my site use the high pressure pump out of a 79 Cadillac El Dorado. It's apparently identical.

Thanks Lorcan!...Steell had suggested I check your site and I did, but it was not immediately apparent which units would cross-list.

Hey guys, I'm looking at buying an 81 GPz1100 but the fuel pump is out. I saw the thread here about the 79 Cadillac El Dorado pump fitting but I called a guy and that car has a high pressure pump that attaches to the frame and a low pressure pump that goes in the tank. Can you tell me which one it is? If there is a part # or another way I can search it that would be helpful as well!

Thanks! Mike
