80 Kz1000 tool tray / tools was created by Cra-z1
Im working on this 1980 KZ1000. I bought  a tool tray not knowing where it goes on the bike but I think it goes here. Can anyone confirm. Also I have tool pouches for the Z1 which seen to be a bit large for this tray did they make a smaller tool pouch and kit for this bike.

Yes, tray placement looks correct for both the 1980 A4 and B4 models. Verified using the owners manuals. I am not aware of a smaller tool kit/bag for these models.

CMNSL shows the same tool bag from 75 - 80 all900 and 1000 models - 56008006
