Rear Stand

I have a hydraulic car jack. Anyone have a good way of making a quick make-shift wheel stand? When I got my 550 it did not have a center stand. I plan on buying one, but need to switch the rear sprocket out ASAP to pass inspection and get it legal. No one local has a rear stand for me to buy.

2 car jack stands, one of each swing arm tube works just fine...

Lean the bike one way, stand on the lowest settings, lean back then place the other stand...

I plan on getting a center stand from ebay, but wanted something makeshift to use today. I was going to have my chain/sprockets replaced at the dealer b/c I cannot legally ride until they do (failed state inspection because of sprockets). Dealer said it would late next week before they had time, so I wanted to do it this weekend. FWIW, the two car jacks worked like a charm once I go the hang of it. Thanks for the tip.

You might be able to make something out o fht grab rail. I made a stand out of two of them. They are already the right distance apart to mount to the shock bolts.

We used this one on my buddies KZ650. The shock bolts lined up the same as the 550's.
