Aftermarket Tanks? was created by EasyRider1
Does anyone know of an aftermarket tank that will fit on my KZ440 without any modification? Anywhere that sells painted tanks?

Thanks

unless you want a different look, you might look at old kaw man, it would be a oem, but you could paint it

I wouldn't mind a slightly differnt look as long as it fit the bike (both fit wise and body lines). Does anyone know of new tanks or other model tanks that will work with the kz440?

Oh, I just realized "oldkawman" was a seller of kawasaki parts not just your suggestion. I will look into that. Any other ideas?

Do yourself a favour and stay clear of The Old Kawman. There's a few of us here who have been less than pleased with our dealings with him. He's also not as well informed as he leads you to believe. In my case he didn't know there was a difference between 81/82 and 83/84 GPz1100s. Just have a look at his site and you decide if you want to send him money. Is there still a link here to his website? Shouldn't be.

I second Fossil...do your homework before dealing with Oldkawman...I also am aware of misinformation with what is being presented

Old Kaw Man quoted me over $500 for a stock MKII head and a set of transmission gears... give me a break! Not even undercut.

I have never had any dealings with him, but it sounds like he does not please people very well, I have looked at his site and he seems to have a lot of parts, didnt know he wanted to retire after a sale though

I don't think he's looking to retire. I think he just needs to buy some groceries so he can fatten up his bikini model a little. Has anyone noticed that she doesn't look any too happy in his pics?
