I was going to check the rubber damper on the secondary shaft but the 3 Allen head bolts holding the starter motor clutch on will not budge, been applying RP7 over the last couple of days but I think if I try too hard they will snap. They are clean no corrosion just very tight. Any suggestions, I don't  want to apply too much heat because of the rubber damper.

I believe those original dampers are no longer available but the dampers from the ZR7 series machines are the same size, Kawi PN 92075-1227

You may be able to verify that info by using the search function.

Those dampers are in the secondary shaft.  Partzilla lists them as still available.  Another huge improvement can be gained by changing the rubber dampers in the clutch.  A guy on the KZ750 Turbo site sells them, or at least he used to.

After being out of stock for a couple of weeks I'm glad to announce I've got a fresh batch of Viton dampers ready to ship.

The cost is still $45 US for a set of six. Shipping costs can be found in earlier posts.

So if you're interested contact me at turbosteve84 "at" verizon.net. I'm in the US.

Thanks,
Steve
