Howdy....just dropping some photos of the GPZ550, getting close to being done, thought I was there then had some issues with compression not being what it should.  So, I decided to just bite the bullet and go for the 615cc kit and a bit more cam since I have to take the top end off anyhow.  This is just a teaser; it looks gorgeous in the sun light!  This will also give me a chance to correct some stuff and make it perfect.

The bike is stunning, I'll be coming calling for a BOTM feature when it's done

Great job. The gold accents are subtle but still stand out, nice,

Thank you all!  I'll post before and afters as well.

Once this baby is done, I'm onto the KZ650...rolling resto and the full frame-off of the 72 H2 Mach IV.   The H2's are still creeping up there in $$$, I saw a 73 in Purple go for $40k straight up.   If it weren't for the fact that my H2 was a barn find(S), friend deal and a basket case, there is no way I could afford one.  Even the GPZ1100's B1/B2 are going through the roof, there was one (B2) stock, that went for 20K!  Sheeze...at least you can still get the small bore bikes for a fair price.

I'm really digging my 650, tons of resources and info on them, and a great cult following.   They are IMHO, going to be the next bikes to be collected and shipped over seas.

Yeah, the KZ650 is going to be bitchin', I just got 700cc big kit with cylinders already done.  Probably go with at least a hot street cam, port and polish head, higher CR, Cartridge Emulators, KYB Zephyr Rear shocks, dual disk, 24mm carbs, stock airbox with K&N, oil cooler, to name a few things.

That is a nice one for a fact, any mods?  I struggled for a long time on what direction to take, since it was a total frame off due to the horrific condition it was in... whole bike painted with textured lawn furniture paint.   I call it a rescue; I just couldn't let it be hauled off to the breakers.  Keep it stock, mod it, resto mod, finally just said mostly stock with enhancements.
