Guess what my weekend is looking like...

I am a fan of the weatherproof connectors, especially if the bike will live outside ( car manufacturers have used them on everything outside the cabin for many years)

Looks like your Coke is getting warm
That's a project that will be worth it. We use battery terminal cleaner on the connectors and wash them out with non chlorinated brake cleaner. Then dry them out with the air nozzle, and fill the female half with dielectric grease before reconnecting. The brass parts come out nice, shiny and clean.
We've had great success with this method and have only replaced 2 wiring harnesses in the two dozen bikes we've resurrected. Many of them started out looking like your bike. This 75' Honda CB 400-4 was as bad as your bike before we got to work.

Oh totally! Unfortunately she'll be outside for the foreseeable future, but I have a pretty okay cover to keep the elements out.

That's awesome, what a transformation! I'm just a guy with a toolbox, I can only hope to bring her back to her former glory someday.

Some good news, though! After going through the loom, it looks like most of the wiring is in good condition. The connectors are all pretty shot though. One of them basically disintegrated in my hand when I pulled it apart! So, plan now is to just replace all the connectors with the weatherproof ones I bought.

What's up all! Sorry for the lack of updates. Weather's sucked lately! I'm hoping to make some progress with the wiring later this week. I wish my wife would let me bring that inside, but of course she doesn't want stuff getting dirty lol
