Ok.. I have another option on shocks, slightly longer, i will put those on later today, I’ll also remove a lot of things that might be throwing off accuracy in my measurements. I have a drawing of the top clamp too and I’ll put that up as well. I’ll see if I can find the most level section of my floor too. This all helps a lot lads thank you. 

I don't think you need longer shocks, 365mm is already long enough, is there any height adjustment on your shocks ?  I'm using the same length shocks and the same swingarm as you.
I'll drop a link below to AC sanctuary's page where they discus 17 and 18 inch setups on Z900 Kawasaki's. Use google translate to read, I have my computer set up to auto translate a number of different language sites. On the left the first 2 links under chassis are top 17 inch and next 18 inch, it discusses rake angle, fork length and swingarm length, its a bit jinglish but not hard to understand...

Thanks Wookie, now that I have the proper measurements…( I was measuring the rake wrong) iv taken a look and I feel a little more comfortable with where I am now. Like I said before, I’m going to be changing the set up later this year, this is more about understanding the numbers and what to do if I want to change them. Well maybe being told by someone who knows a bit more than me telling me what’s best to do. 

 The offset is 32mm on the fork clamp.

Little sidebar here. I put a zx9r front fork (longest USD fork i could find) on my 78 650 B2. I modified the upper zx9r triple to get an extra 20mm of fork length and you can do an internal fork mod to get another 20mm. This got me back to stock ride height. 

Triple offset did increase the trail a bit and the bars feel heavier, but nothing unworkable at all. Probably a good idea considering the turbo....  

I also did not dent my tank and only notice the smaller steering angle in parking lots.

When measuring trail run your line through the centre of the steering head, then  centre of the axle to the ground, centre of the fork leg to the ground, measure the distance between the two lines where they meet the ground, as you have.  You are going to need a digital angle metre to measure actual rake, and you can only do that once you have everything mocked up, they are cheap as chips on Aliexpress... The one in the link has a magnetic bottom, that's what you want...   you put it on a 90degree surface {magnet side on surface} and zero it out, then put it on the front of your fork tube and see what it says...  I still can't see a rake measurement in your diagrams. www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003391546454...2.0.0.60d13787csdgiV

Edit…Rake angle is 25.51 and trail is 105mm and trust me it accurate to well lets say a point or 2.

My last link is a downloadable xlsx file Excel}, I just clicked on it and it works for me.
What I'm saying about your rake measurement is that you need to measure it with all the parts, longer shocks and everything on the bike, I didn't know whether you'd done that already, and whether you'd settled on fork length..
The simple angle gauge makes it easy to read rake adjustments in real time, no calculations necessary, made it really easy for me as I could leave it attached to the front fork and adjust the rear ride height and see what change it had made to rake instantly. I'm moving my rear shock mounts so my setup was a bit more fiddly...

Ahhh, got you now, I downloaded the link but my computer would not open it, I’ll sort that today, thank you mate! It will be real handy moving forward, especially when the project running simultaneously to this one is a Z1r on 18’s. It’s reassuring to know what numbers the bike has now and I’m confident that she will ride well enough for as long as she has the current set up. I am slowly getting better on my lathe and will be making my own steering Axels for head stocks. Thanks again for all the help with this, all very appreciated.

Been a while since iv updated, skipped ahead a fair bit, bike is about 15 hrs from running, going to be giving the tail and tank its clear coat tomorrow. There will be a bit of a tare down and ill snap all the changes iv made. the hydraulic clutch conversion is on and working so far but i need to do a few road tests before i pat myself on the back, here she is as she stands now.
