New project old bike

This is an old drag bike of mine ive had it sitting in the corner of my shop over 10yrs,,
it was once a beautiful/extremely fast machine but other projects/life took precedence,,
the engine was built by orient express lots of go fast goodies and a heavily ported/polished head
made for alot great street action,,im ashame to admit i just threw a cover over it and left it sitting,
ive attempted several times to work on it over the yrs but due to personal reasons just couldnt get
excited about it and just left it,, but on to the new!
ive started working on it again with a nephew of mine,,the plan is to adapt/weld a ducati 916 rear subframe/fairing,
a small bikini fairing up front,another grimeca disk brake up front front aswell,im undecided if i want to add an
ATP turbo kit ive had for many yrs..and of course we will be doing a complete disassembly so we can clean and repaint
the engine/frame properly,,

the kid in the pic welding is my nephew he is a welder/fabricator

That Ducati tail section looks very good on there. Who'da thought?!

it really was surprising how easily it was to adapt it to the kawasaki,
we still have sum welding left and we are going to modify a set of side covers
to fit properly,,i luv the look of the stock rear tail but i wanted a change for this bike
im thrilled with the looks of the ducati fairing
