1982 kz1000 police sidecar conversion. was created by Kawasaki_and_the_marlboro_man
I recently finished up my 1982 kz1000 ltd. Awhile back i started purchasing kawasaki police bike parts. I finally got around to mounting the luggage panniers on. I had just got my sidecar hardware back from the chrome shop and last minute idea i should swap my pacifico luggage off and mount the kz1000p police luggage.

Only modifications to the bike are that i welded four nuts onto the frame. So i was able to mount the stock police engine guard bar and stock police luggage without any making brackets to mount.

I was never aware that the police bike equipment was essentially a direct bolt on fit to the kz1000 LTD frame. Unfortunately the front fork triple trees are a few mm wider on the police model, so mounting the front fender requires more work.. until then i have a fork stiffener brace as a fender replacement because of fork oscillations i occasionally encounter...

Hah, the posture of the dog is seemingly mimicked by the bike, especially sans fender.
That's a very nice setup you have!

I do not believe I have seen somebody put police bits on an LTD. Cool customization, there.
