This has been the longest bike project I've done - usually they take a year to 18 months but this really was a marathon. Nothing wrong with the donor bike - a KZ750E US import but my plans were a little more ambitious than a more simple restoration. Trust me 3 years is too long, had to go back and redo several things due to sitting around too long. Made a number of mistakes that cost time - 2 steps forward 1 step back too often.

But it is exactly what I envisaged and I'm pleased with the result, still a little carb fettling required and waiting on the correct registration plate for the year but then it will be up for sale and on to the next project!

keyless go and digital speedo/Tacho and micro idiot lights, headlight is from a Victory Hammer, the hand sawn billet bracket was one of my proudest creations, but as with much of the work it's pretty much invisible on the finished bike...

Good for you. I have a 20 yr. project!
But your not done! IMO, you should paint lower fork legs red too.
I like mods and hand made parts also.

Hmm, red lower forks? I'm going to stay with the black - it's possible to overdo the red. Just like with the stripe - didn't do the front mudguard on purpose.

Not my preferred style. But a big fan of the quality. Nice details, clean, I think you did a great job.
