Sandpaper could be installed on any side of the disc or on both sides simultaneously.

 

 

And last but not least attachment for rotary tools. Actually it's the most useful tool especially when it comes  treating pipes or holes from inside (including ports of cylinder head). But it could be used on outer surfaces, ribs and grooves as well.  

Most of "universal" sets of accessories for rotary tools come with pretty useless drill bits. Usually they might be used on wood or plastic but they are no good for metal.

 

We need two things  to turn these drill bits into useful attachments. First is a rectangle of sandpaper (cut from sheet or roll).

 

 

Diameter and length of future depend on dimensions of sandpaper rectangle.  It has to be rolled in tube like this:   

Roll of sandpaper has to have an internal diameter suitable for the drill bit, so the drill bit may be screwed into the roll with little force. Second thing we need for the tool is a strip of paper tape or vinyl tape or duct tape.  With the help of that strip we have to fix sandpaper to drill. Mind direction of rotation.

 

 

 

This tool doesn't like side loads because it essentially is paper. But it could last for quite a long time, since after the upper layer is worn it may be torn off exposing a new layer of fresh sandpaper and so on and so forth until the end of layers. Same thing with the working end of the tool: once it wears, it may be cut off with scissors.  Wide range of sandpaper grit make this tool truly universal. Well,  that was a rather simple decision: knowledge is better to be shared than to be lost.

With the emergence of pictures of massacre in north Kyiv suburbs (Bucha, Irpin) and nearby towns like Borodyanka I feel a black rage I have never felt before. Those atrocities made by Russians, they should never have happened in 21th century.



 

However, here's another little thing I kept forgetting to do. I found the original part list of the 1983 Kawasaki KZ750 (L3)  on the  Internet some 15 years ago. Since then I managed to forget I found them until one day I was sorting all manuals and lists in my PC. The list is in pictures (JPS, 300dpi), so I ZIPed them in one archive.  I loaded scans  to my Google Drive and shared them.
