Just to add to this, the alternator cover from the 1978 D1 and D1A are just like the ones on the B2 and C2.  Starting in 1979 the label changed from all cap letters to only the K as a cap.

I have some setback with the frame. It kept me from making progress on the project for  some time. But I still have a hope I wouldn't have to turn the engine into a beer tap. I'll write about it later.

Excellent video Gazz, could have only been better if you'd used the gas stove to make some lunch during the rebuild...!!  Sound track was cool too, who was the band ?  {old guitarist here}...
