Sorry but a little confused by this comment. What do you mean by "working brake shaft?" As far as I know the footpeg bracket has a hole in it which acts as the pivot for the brake lever. And there are a number of these brackets with the pivot shaft removed on ebay so you should be able to purchase one and install your brake shaft no?

BTW, I've got a set of those brackets from a GPz750 which are functionally same as the E parts only there is an extra hole for bolting up the exhaust. You can have them for the cost of shipping if that would help.

I was looking for the bracket with the brake pivot shaft "in working order", in case I couldn't save the one I have. Now that I have gotten it free without damage, I need to see how it is after the rust is completely removed. Fingers crossed. All of the used brackets that have the pivot shaft in place say the shaft is frozen or stuck. Thanks for the offer... PM me a pic and I'll take a look at them.

I soaked the brake pivot shaft in Evapo-Rust for two days. This part was solid rust on every surface. I've been using it for a lot of parts on the project, and I highly recommend it.

When I purchased the rear MC for a ZX-06 I neglected to pay attention to the orientation of the hose and mounting tab. The outlet was hitting the frame tab. A simple flat bracket solved the issue.

Ran into same problem when I tried to mount the reservoir for my rear master too!!!

Same fix as you!!!!

1972 H2 750 Cafe Racer built in 1974.

I snagged a OG bracket off Ebay to replace my broken one.

The ZX-06 rear M/C has the same bolt spacing for the stock mounting bracket, but it's not a direct bolt up. The ZX-06 uses 6 mm bolts, but the KZ bracket has holes for 8 mm bolts. My solution was to drill out the bracket to fit steel spacers - 3/8 od x 1/4 id x 3/4 long. This puts the centerline of the M/C almost perfect with the spacing of the brake pivot shaft linkage. I will use another spacer over these to keep the M/C rigid.

Parts used:
'06 ZX-06 rear master cylinder
(2) spacers, 3/8" od x 1/4" id x 3/4" long
(2) spacers, 3/4" od x 3/8" id x 5/16" long
Tarozzi rearsets & brake linkage
New brake line, stock length with 0 degrees rotation between banjo fittings (stock line has 90 degree rotation)

Modifications:
Drill out two mounting holes for M/C using 3/8" drill
Trim reservoir line 4-1/2"
Trim reservoir line cover 2-3/8"

Now I need to pull it all apart to paint the mounting bracket and brake pivot shaft. The two larger bushings will get installed over the small bushings after paint.

After multiple attempts to paint the rear footpeg brackets two tone (like stock), I threw in the towel and blacked them out. Single color is so much easier.

My shifter linkage showed up today. I found a set to be less money than building one by purchasing all the parts and assembling it. And the tubes are polished.
