Zx550 engine swap complete

NOW, how fun was the swap? Malfunctioning lights are not unique engine swaps are.

Not fun. Thought it would a simple swap seeing how the engines are basically the same. The engine went in easy enough just like planned but then you get to the little things. The carbs are different so the airbox is different. The clutch cable different the throttle different tach different so all that stuffed had to be sourced before being able to fire it up. I was hoping to use the rubber mounts of the 84 but the 81 frame didn't allow that. But in the end the little stuff that made it hard was worth it.

Do you have the stock kz650 sprockets on there? Did I read that the 6 speed has lower first and taller 6th (as compared to kz650 5th gear)?

Mine is a kz550 with a zx550 engine. The gearing seems the same to me. I kept the original kz550 sprockets
