I owned a BSA for 11 years, so I sort of understand the limitations of the Triumph. Still, yours is a great looking bike! Ed

Very nice! My kind of old school!
Follow these directions!
Keep front spoke rim. Add a matching dual disc.
Suzuki GS 1100 Swingarm & shocks.
18” x 4.25” x 40 spoke rear rim with
160 or 180 tire. 5/8 offset.
Then attach a stock flared standard rear fender with a little adjustment.
Paint the 2 fenders blue to match!
Then will be coolest KZ1000 ever!

Thanks, old_kaw. Picking that lime green color took a while. But once I found it, I knew that was it! I wanted something that would stand out from the typical red factory colors which you typically see with the '68 - '70 Bonnies. The color is officially PPG Candy Key Lime from their Vibrance collection. Looks great in person as it is also a pearl and actually flips from a gold to pale blue as the light shifts. Tried to capture that effect in the one pic below.

When I get some time, I'll try to post the full story of the Triumph in the general forum.

So, I've been out of the loop for quite some time. I did get my KZ converted back to a more "streetworthy" combination recently. Up front, I removed the travel limiters from the front forks, installed new front brake hoses and master cylinder, new handlebars, and put the stock front wheel back on. In the rear, I took off the +2" over swingarm and PM spun aluminum wheel and reinstalled the stock swingarm and rear wheel and a pair of Koni shocks. Also put the seat grab rail back on. The bike runs great but I now have a small oil leak at the front center of the head. I'm guessing that after twenty years of limited use, the center o-ring is giving up the ghost. Going to have to get real psyched to pull the head and cylinders to replace the o-ring and fresh gaskets, as my spare time is limited. Posted some pics below for everybody's enjoyment.
