Did you polish that case?

Very cool. We might convert to handle bars later but as of now everything fits too nice to bother. I believe the cases are powder coated or painted, I forget which. Frame is satin black and paint is the kz900 brown and orange.
Lots of chrome on this one, looks pretty good.

Ended up finding a deal on rear shocks so I picked them up and installed.

Body work mock-up.
Had the zx9 fender painted to match stock brown color.
Thinking I might shorten the tail 3-4 inches to bring it forward a bit. Looks long at current length and gives it a more sporty look with it slid forward.

keep the tail as is... it's the bike's character. Used to hate the long tail on most UJMs too but it grew on me around 2 yrs ago... RC04/SC09, Z1/Z2/KZ1000, GS750/850/1000S, etc...

Looking good. Do you know that the "brown" on the z1s was actually orange shot over a black base coat?

Yes engine builder did great refinishing the block and shit
Going to get the Kawasaki case cover chromed I think or replace with chrome one.
Hopefully it runs as good as it looks....roughly $9k into the engine itself!

Exhaust looks so mean but makes using stock rear brake lever impossible
