EX  A  FREAKIN  LINT!!!!!
Nice Job! Nothing like stock from the day. I had a green 76 900  in late 77, it came from a dealer here in Western NY.
I still remember hating stock then! And pouring paint stripper on the perfect gas tank!. Then cutting the stock pipes off, just past the mounts at the rear peg! To make it loud. Before I could afford the $149 chrome Kerker! And the $19.99 ABE bread basket air cleaner! Oh Ya', I could not get the stock air box out! So I cut it in half with a saw!
OUCH! 90% of the Old Guys on here most likely did the same.
You should  have got it up a week ago. Could have nominated for a BOTM!
Looks Great!

Livin in "CheektaVegas, NY
Went thru 25 of these in 40 yrs.
I SOLD OUT! THE KAW BARN IS EMPTY.
More room for The Old Girl, Harley 75 FLH Electra Glide,
Old faithful! Points ign. Bendix Orig. carb.
Starts everytime!

NEVER to late for a Bike of the Month  !!!!!!!!!

I would never  saw out a stock air box  LOL

Or run open headers

Or velocity stacks without a air cleaner

Or a fat tire that rubbed my chain

Or chopper handlebars

The list goes on    Ahhh    To be 16yr old, few  tools  , and stupid
