I've said this before, some people shouldn't be allowed to own or use tools.

This by far is the biggest piece of chit I ever seen. I knew it the day it showed up on the trailer, I knew then to cut my loss and sell, let some other idiot restore. But I'm a dumb ass so I'll give it my best.
There is nothing good on the bike. I'm starting with a frame and top engine case. The crank is junk , trans is junk and I'm hoping my buddy can repair the lower case, it;s cracked and and one of the mount lugs for the point housing is busted off. the timing chain guide was broke off, in two pieces caught in the crank etc.

look at this crap

Progress report on the turd. It is going slow, today is my first day off since Oct. 1st. Worked 60 days in a row 85 hours week to pay for this project ! A good friend of mine not only repaired the cases but gave me a a near perfect z1 crank, block and pistons. He has no use for stock parts, this is his toy.

Do I see big pieces of red silicone on the pickup screen???? I always get a big chuckle when I see red or blue silicone oozing from every joint on a KZ motor. Reminds me on being back in Chicago. Certain folks in Chicago must have bought red or blue silicone by the 5 gallon bucket. I have seen pickup screens COMPLETELY blocked with pieces of silicone!!! I had one motor that the owner used so much silicone on the head gasket that it blocked the oil flow to one side of the head!!!!!

There will be no silicone used when the engine goes back together, and yes the inside was full of it.

I have never tig welded but I gave it my best shot on the frame ( with a little help from my pipefitter buddy lol) . I might have to tweek a little on the seat latch mount bracket , however the front frame section came out pretty good.

It's looking better. A few more minor things and the engine will be done . Nothing was reused from the texas turd engine except the cases. New used crank, block stock bore pistons new rings. New used head, new valves , guides and seals. New used clutch basket and brand new clutch plates. trans thoroughly inspected and near perfect shift forks. New cam chain and rollers and gromets An incredible rebuild
