So far I have found out that the bike was registered with the dmv for 2 years out of 36 for the road. In 1980 to 81 and again in 1990 to 91 stored or not registered for the rest of its years two owners the second in 1990 had a spill the pipe is scratched and bent missing a rear blinker and the clutch and mirror assembly spun on the bar... If you look at the pick it was never corrected

Great Find you got there!!!!! Call it what you want. The MK II bodywork was only available in the 1979 and 1980 model years. Super rare bikes. In 1979, they made like 16,000 LTD models, but only like 3,300 MK II's I never got the figures for the 1980 model year. In the dealership I worked in those two years, we couldn't give the MK II's away!!!!! We ended up putting the rounder 1977/1978 A model tanks on them with custom seats to sell them. Three guesses where the gas tanks came from for my MK II Superbike!!!!

Put that bike back to original specs, and keep it that way. That's what I would do if it were mine!!!!

Good luck with your project too!!!!
