But there doesn't appear to be much holding that steering neck onto the frame (see image below). If you compare that area to the stock KZ650 the difference is obvious. That area must handle a lot of stress, and more than one frame has failed there. Big Bear Choppers recalled their frames because of problems in that area, and theirs look like they are more robust in that area than the one in question (see store.bigbearchoppers.com/venom-chopper-frame/ for image). Of course, Suzuki recalled GSXR's for frame failures in that same area; again, there is a lot of stress there. Call me a sissy, but I wouldn't ride it. Ed
