So the advancer I bought on ebay, despite the pictures, was not in excellent condition. It works but the tangs the hold the collar nut to the crank are gone. I do not think this poses an operational problem, but no more manually turning the crank. Good thing it's a pulse ignition no timing to set! I will keep looking for a proper replacement. The one on the bike was unuseable. The bearing was rusted on and I took a torch to it and really screwed it up. Bike work teaches patience. I have some Kroil coming and in retrospect I think I could have soaked it and at least switched out the parts to get a complete perfect part. Love the lessons, just wish they didn't happen so often :) Great growl and I am satisfied she will be running well this spring. Deep clean and refurbish on all parts this winter as cold permits. Chain, tires, paint, buffing and more, but this motor can stay in the frame, she's good. R
