1982 KZ1100-A2 Shaft Project

Well got her running and drug out of the basement w/ 4 people and some come-alongs and still was a little sketchy at that. Still running a bit lean but pretty close and will need a new valve cover gasket as it dripping pretty good if I run it for very long. Will post a video once I get the oil leak fixed and the carbs dialed in. It sounds similar to the 650 but definitely has a deeper sound and growl to it.

Rides great and I am just finishing up a 1166cc build due to bad rings. I figured might as well go bigger if I am going to spend the money to refresh the cylinder anyways.

I have a 82 Spectre and was wondering on you wiring specs and on the carbs what jets you use?

Sounds like a great plan Jeff :lol: By the way where did you end up hiding that battery over the swingarm ?

I ended up putting in the area just in front of the swingarm. As for wiring I used vehicleproducts.co.uk and used their 1mm wires, I think I spent like $40 for all the wiring I needed to rewire it and then used vintage connections for connectors and cws wiring for battery harnesses and LED turn signal relay. The jets are 137.5 Main & one up from stock on pilot jets whatever that is.
