Hey,
I'm hoping to get mine into working condition too - you seem to be way ahead of me but lol.
I'm considering going the pods just cos I want a cleaner look, but that would be after I get the bike running. Seeing as I haven't actually ridden that much, I'm not what the realistic difference between the two would be.
Anyways, keep up the good work.

Sham, if the only reason you are considering going to pods is a cleaner look I suggest you do a search of Airbox vs Pods before you do...and be prepared for some reading. I hate to see someone go blindly into that decision. In the end it is up to you but at least make the decision with all the info.

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

Proxy is right on, check out your options and look at what each will let you do, and stop you from doing. Like, if you want to ride in the rain, pods would not be my first choice. ;)
Lov'n the thread Jramsey89. Looks like you are bringing her along nicely. I can't wait to see how she turns out.

thanks, sham. I did have a pretty good starting point. and yeah, the pod filters do look good on these bikes. But I agree with these guys, do your research. Personally, I cant see myself using them again. It seems to me like 1 out of 100 people get them set up right. Mine wasn't terrible but it definitely had low end hesitation and was much more cold natured than it should've been... even in the summer. Good luck with yours too.

Forgot I had this. Here's a video of the bike! (...and my finger) This is before anything has been done to the bike, actually its the day after I brought it home. I'd like to say its come a long way. However, since the bike doesn't appear too bad in this video it almost seems like I'm moving backward. I know the hard work will pay off in the end though. Just ready to ride and summer is slipping away.

P.S. You can kiss that baffle goodbye

I am getting close to buying paint for this thing. Originally I was thinking of painting it the same as it was only red where the black is. Then I was thinking a really dark blue where the black is. Now I'm not sure if I even want to do the same striping.
Anyone have any suggestions on a paint scheme? colors, stripes, effects, airbrushing? I am just looking for some ideas to get a spark going. Right now I don't have a clear picture in my head of what this thing should look like. Thanks

Thought I would have the bike in primer today but that didn't happen. I was counting on having some help working on it but he couldn't make it and I found another dent in the fender that I had to fix. I'm a little behind but I just need to scuff sand the tail section and one side cove then I can prime... probably early next week.
